So who exactly is DER FINSTERE JIM (engl. The Dark Jim)? The answer to that is actually quite simple. My name is neither Jim, nor do I seem particularly dark. However, when I found out a few years ago that this anagram could be created from the letters of my name, I decided to use DER FINSTERE JIM as my stage name from then on. On this page you will find an excerpt from my textile designs that I have published with my print-on-demand partners.

The ability to print borderless textiles before they are sewn together into a finished product has opened up new possibilities for me as a designer. “Pattern designs” and photography prints in particular develop a very special charm.
